Intelligent testing systems have become an indispensable part of modern PCBA manufacturing, breaking through the limitations of traditional manual testing and improving testing efficiency, accuracy, and comprehensiveness, while providing strong support for ensuring product reliability. With the increasing integration and miniaturization of PCBA, traditional testing methods can no longer meet the needs of high-precision and high-efficiency testing, making the upgrading of intelligent testing systems an inevitable trend.

A mature PCBA intelligent testing system usually includes multiple modules such as data acquisition, SMT placement detection, virtual soldering detection, and welding temperature analysis. The data acquisition module collects and preprocesses multi-source heterogeneous data such as equipment status, environmental parameters, and image data, laying a foundation for subsequent testing and analysis. The SMT placement detection module uses YOLOv5 algorithm to accurately locate components and quantify placement deviations, while the virtual soldering detection module adopts MobileNet network and contrastive learning to achieve precise positioning of virtual soldering defects.

In addition, the welding temperature analysis module uses bidirectional GRU network to analyze temperature time series data, realizing real-time diagnosis of welding temperature abnormalities. The process optimization module dynamically optimizes welding process parameters through multi-objective reinforcement learning algorithms based on test feedback, forming a closed-loop optimization of the production-testing process. Advanced testing platforms such as Teradyne’s TestStation can integrate in-circuit testing and functional testing, reducing test links and capital costs, and providing real-time data support for smart factory construction.
