  Overview

  The electric kettle water level sensor PCBA is a key component for detecting water level in the electric kettle.   Components

  Water level sensor: This is the core component, which usually uses capacitive, electrode or ultrasonic principles to detect water level. For example, the capacitive water level sensor determines the water level by detecting the different effects of water and air on the capacitance value; the electrode water level sensor uses the conductivity of water to sense the water level through electrodes of different heights.

  Signal processing circuit: Responsible for amplifying, filtering and analog-to-digital conversion of the signal detected by the water level sensor, and converting it into a digital signal that can be recognized by the microcontroller. This can improve the accuracy and stability of the signal and reduce the impact of external interference on water level detection.

It usually converts the input power of the electric kettle into a specific voltage suitable for the operation of each electronic component, such as converting 220V AC to 5V or 3.3V DC to ensure that each component can work normally.

  Communication interface circuit: It is used to communicate with other control circuits or display panels of the electric kettle. Through this interface, the water level sensor PCBA can transmit water level information to the display panel for real-time display, or interact with the heating control circuit to achieve precise control of the heating process.

  Working principle

  Water level detection: Taking the capacitive water level sensor as an example, when the water level in the kettle changes, the capacitance value in the sensor will change accordingly. Because the dielectric constant of water is different from that of air, the rise or fall of the water level will cause the equivalent dielectric constant between the two plates of the sensor to change, thereby causing a change in the capacitance value. This change in capacitance value is detected by the signal processing circuit and converted into a corresponding electrical signal.

  Signal processing and transmission: The signal processing circuit amplifies and filters the weak electrical signal from the sensor, removes noise and interference, and then converts it into a digital signal. After receiving the digital signal, the microcontroller analyzes and processes the water level information according to the built-in program. If the water level is lower than the set lower limit, the microcontroller will send a stop heating instruction to the heating control circuit through the communication interface circuit to prevent dry burning; if the water level is within the normal range, the microcontroller will control the heating power or maintain the current state according to the actual situation. At the same time, the microcontroller will also transmit the water level information to the display panel through the communication interface circuit so that the user can understand the water level in the kettle in real time.
