  Basic composition

  Control unit: usually a microcontroller or a dedicated integrated circuit. For example, some automatic transmission control PCBAs use chips such as ATMega2560. It is the "brain" of PCBA, responsible for processing various input signals and making decisions.

  Sensors: including vehicle speed sensor, throttle position sensor, transmission oil temperature sensor, oil pressure sensor, etc., used to monitor the vehicle's operating status and transmission working conditions in real time.

  Actuator: mainly solenoid valves, etc., controlled by the control unit, used to adjust the transmission oil pressure, control the action of the shift clutch and brake, and realize automatic shifting.

  Power supply circuit: Provides stable power supply for each component on the PCBA to ensure its normal operation.

  Communication interface: such as CAN bus interface, USB interface, etc., used to interact with other control units of the vehicle to realize coordinated control of the whole vehicle.

  Main functions

  Shift control: According to the sensor signals such as vehicle speed and throttle opening, the control unit accurately calculates the best shift timing, and controls the shift actuator through the solenoid valve to achieve smooth and accurate shift operation, improve driving comfort and fuel economy.

  Oil pressure regulation: Monitor the oil pressure of the transmission, and control the oil pressure regulating solenoid valve to keep the oil pressure within the appropriate range to ensure the normal operation of the hydraulic system of the transmission and provide stable pressure support for shifting and power transmission.

  Torque converter lock control: According to the driving state of the vehicle, control the engagement and disengagement of the torque converter lock clutch, realize the locking of the torque converter under appropriate working conditions, improve power transmission efficiency, and reduce fuel consumption.

  Fault diagnosis and protection: With self-diagnosis function, it can monitor the working status of PCBA itself and related parts of the transmission in real time. When a fault is detected, the fault code is stored and corresponding protection measures are taken, such as enabling the emergency operation mode to ensure that the vehicle can continue to drive to a safe place for repair.

  Adaptive learning: Some advanced automatic transmission control PCBA can perform adaptive learning and adjustment according to factors such as vehicle driving habits and road conditions, optimize shifting strategies and oil pressure control to adapt to different driving needs.

  Working principle

  Signal input: The vehicle speed sensor converts the vehicle's driving speed into an electrical signal, and the throttle position sensor transmits the throttle opening signal to the control unit. In addition, the transmission oil temperature, oil pressure and other sensor signals are also input to the control unit.

  Data processing: After receiving these sensor signals, the control unit compares and calculates with the shifting rules and oil pressure control parameters pre-stored in the memory, and uses specific algorithms (such as fuzzy logic algorithms, etc.) to determine the current optimal working state.

  Command output: According to the calculation results, the control unit sends control commands to actuators such as solenoid valves, and adjusts the hydraulic oil circuit of the transmission by controlling the on and off of the solenoid valves, controlling the operation of the shift clutch and brake, thereby realizing automatic shifting, oil pressure regulation and other functions.
